Pre-Post Care

It is highly recommended that you follow Posh Beauty Artistry’s Pre & Post Care instructions to ensure the best possible results and longevity of your paramedical tattoo treatment. This information acts as a guideline only. We cannot guarantee results. Each client’s skin responds differently both in how long it takes to heal, and the number of sessions needed and desired results. It is important that you take good care of your stretch marks or scars while healing and beyond.

Pre-Care Before the Appointment

  • No sun tanning, self-tanners, including spray tans beginning 4 weeks prior to appointment. It is important to make sure your skin is not tanned as we need to be able to achieve your natural skin tone- If you are tanned at the time of the treatment then your stretch marks/ scars will end up looking darker than the rest of your skin once your tan goes away.

  • Shave/wax areas prior if needed

  • No lasering before the treatment

  • Drink plenty of water and come hydrated

  • No Aspirin or Ibuprofen 48 hrs. prior to the treatment

  • No Alcohol and Caffeine 24 hrs. prior to the treatment

  • Wear loose clothes on the treatment day, as the area(s) will be slightly tender.

  • Do not wear serums, toners, creams, or other products the day of the treatment.

  • Shower the day of your treatment and gently exfoliate the area to be treated.

Aftercare

WHAT TO EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TREATMENT?

  • The treated area(s) will be red, swollen, and perhaps even a little tender to the touch. This is normal. It will all subside over the next days

  • The scars will start darkening in color over the next couple of weeks but will eventually lighten up again. The final color will be about 25-30% lighter once fully healed. Which is why a touch up session(s) are recommended

  • During healing, you will experience dryness, scabbing, and flakiness. Please do not pick or scratch as you may compromise the healing skin

  • To protect our clients and obtain the best results, we take a conservative approach and carefully deposit pigment with each session

  • Camouflage tattoo is NOT a one-and-done procedure. It can take up to 4 sessions to obtain the desired results

  • The healing process is different for everyone, it can be anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks. The best way to protect your investment and avoid infection is to follow the aftercare instructions we have provided very carefully

  • During the healing, if you experience a pain increase or develop a fever, please notify us immediately and see your primary care to ensure it is not an infection or allergic reaction
